Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures opened lower on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Friday, mirroring the performance of the underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.30 am, the June 2026 and December 2026 contracts both fell by eight points to 1,710.0 and 1,692.0, respectively. The July 2026 contract slid by 7.5 points to 1,712.5, while the September 2026 contract decreased by seven points to 1,692.0.
Turnover at the time stood at 1,727 lots, while open interest totalled 32,974 contracts, indicating a cautious market sentiment. By 9.48 am, the benchmark index had eased by 4.68 points to 1,706.71 from Thursday's close of 1,711.39.
