KLCI Futures Open Lower as Contracts Decline Across the Board

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts opened lower on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Friday. At 9.49 am, the July 2026 contract dropped 15.5 points to 1,705.5, while the August 2026 contract declined 14.5 points to 1,706.5. In addition, the September 2026 contract reduced by 12.5 points to 1,688.0, and the December 2026 contract fell 13.5 points to 1,690.0.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the turnover stood at 6,586 lots, with open interest totaling 46,561 contracts. Earlier in the morning, at 9.16 am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI retreated by 6.09 points to 1,708.50 from Thursday's close of 1,714.59.
