KLCI Futures Experience Decline Amid Market Trends

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives concluded lower today, aligning with the downward movement of the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the March 2026 and April 2026 contracts decreased by 14.5 points each, settling at 1,705.0 and 1,706.50, respectively. The June 2026 contract fell 16.5 points to 1,704.0, while the September 2026 contract dropped by 16.0 points to 1,684.0.

Turnover for the day decreased to 9,667 lots from the previous 10,346 lots recorded last Thursday. However, open interest saw an increase, rising to 42,750 contracts compared to the previous count of 42,127 contracts.

At 5 pm today, the FBM KLCI had eased by 11.95 points, or 0.69 percent, closing at 1,708.76, down from last Thursday's closing of 1,720.71.
