Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Friday, aligning with the underlying cash market trends.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close, the January 2026 contract fell 10.0 points to 1,672.5, while the February 2026 contract dropped 7.0 points to 1,675.5. The March 2026 contract saw a decrease of 10.0 points to settle at 1,658.0, and the June 2026 contract declined by 8.0 points to 1,662.0.
Turnover for the day declined to 5,344 lots from 8,442 on Wednesday. Concurrently, open interest saw a decrease, dwindling to 38,653 contracts compared to 42,817 contracts previously recorded.
At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) index itself erased 10.35 points, or 0.62 percent, settling at 1,669.76, down from Wednesday's close of 1,680.11.
