Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives edged higher in early trade on Friday. At 9.14 am, the September 2026 and October 2026 contracts added half a point each to 1,683.5 and 1,682.0, respectively. Meanwhile, December 2026 slipped one point to 1,687.0, and March 2027 rose two points to 1,675.5.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the turnover for these contracts stood at 741, while the open interest totaled 40,438 contracts. Despite the rise in futures contracts, the FBM KLCI itself eased 3.86 points to 1,711.27 at 9.35 am, compared to Thursday's close of 1,715.13.
