Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, reflecting the downturn in the cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the May 2026 contract dropped by 2.5 points, settling at 1,716.50. The June 2026 and September 2026 contracts each decreased by 1.5 points, closing at 1,715.0 and 1,696.0, respectively. Meanwhile, the December 2026 contract was down by 1.0 point, ending at 1,697.50.
Turnover experienced a significant rise, increasing to 46,855 lots from 13,089 lots recorded on Friday. Similarly, open interest saw an increase, climbing to 77,678 contracts compared to the previous count of 43,086 contracts.
At the close of trading at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased by 4.17 points to settle at 1,708.50, down from Friday’s closing figure of 1,712.67.
