Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on Friday, mirroring the performance of the underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the September 2026 contract fell by 11 points to 1,643.0. Both the October 2026 and December 2026 contracts declined by 9.5 points, closing at 1,642.5 and 1,649.5, respectively. The March 2027 contract also saw a decrease, falling eight points to settle at 1,635.0.
Turnover for the day rose to 7,670 lots, up from 7,468 lots on Thursday, indicating increased trading activity. Open interest similarly saw an increase, rising to 48,164 contracts from the previous 47,713. At the close of trading, the FBM KLCI itself eased by 9.18 points, or 0.54 percent, to 1,665.56, down from Thursday's close of 1,674.74.
