Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mostly higher on Monday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the September 2026, December 2026, and March 2027 futures contracts each saw a rise of 0.5 points, closing at 1,720.5, 1,720.5, and 1,703.0, respectively. In contrast, the August 2026 contract experienced a decline, dropping 2.5 points to settle at 1,739.0.
The session saw a significant increase in trading activity, with turnover jumping to 43,170 lots compared to 9,574 lots last Friday. Open interest also expanded, reaching 83,842 contracts from the previous 48,670.
By the end of the trading day at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI marginally declined by 0.15 of a point, closing at 1,736.33, slightly down from last Friday's close of 1,736.48.
