Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Wednesday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the July 2026 contract eased six points to 1,719.5, while the August 2026 contract fell 5.5 points to 1,721.5. The September 2026 contract lost four points, settling at 1,701, and the December 2026 contract was five points weaker at 1,701.5.

Turnover saw a decrease, with 6,597 lots traded compared to 11,352 on Tuesday. Open interest also narrowed to 45,371 contracts from the previous 46,613. By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI had eased 6.18 points, or 0.36 per cent, closing at 1,713.76, down from the previous day's close of 1,719.94.
