Kuala lumpur: KLCI futures ended lower even as turnover improved to 6,644 lots from 5,892 lots on Wednesday, with open interest widening to 47,613 contracts from 46,038 contracts the previous day. At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) slipped 3.93 points, or 0.24 per cent, to 1,619.96 from Wednesday’s close of 1,623.89.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the drop in the FBM KLCI was observed despite the increase in turnover and open interest. The data indicates an active trading session, although the market’s overall performance was negative.
