Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Monday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the September 2026 contract rose one point to 1,687.0, while the October 2026 contract gained 1.5 points to 1,686.5. Additionally, the December 2026 contract increased by two points to 1,692.50, and the March 2027 contract added 2.5 points to reach 1,677.0.

Turnover experienced a decline, falling to 4,112 lots from the previous 4,745 lots recorded on Friday. Open interest also showed a decrease, dropping to 42,025 contracts from 43,322 contracts previously.

At the close of trading at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose by 6.69 points, or 0.39 percent, reaching 1,714.79 compared to Friday's close of 1,708.10.
