Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher, aligning with a positive trend in the underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close, January 2026 and March 2026 futures each gained 6.0 points, settling at 1,711.0 and 1,697.0, respectively. February 2026 futures increased by 6.5 points to reach 1,716.0, while June 2026 futures rose by 8.5 points to 1,700.5. The turnover expanded to 8,556 lots compared to 6,885 lots recorded on Tuesday. Open interest also saw an increase, moving to 42,934 contracts from the previous 41,659 contracts.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI showed an increase of 2.71 points, or 0.16 percent, closing at 1,710.91, up from Tuesday's close of 1,708.20.
