KLCI Futures Close Higher

Kuala lumpur: Turnover declined to 5,892 lots from 8,301 lots on Tuesday, while open interest fell to 46,038 contracts from 49,124 contracts yesterday. At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI advanced 9.83 points, or 0.61 per cent, to 1,623.89 from Tuesday’s close of 1,614.06.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the market saw a decrease in both turnover and open interest. The turnover, which represents the number of lots traded, fell significantly compared to the previous day. Similarly, open interest, indicating the total number of outstanding contracts in the market, also experienced a reduction.

The FBM KLCI, a key indicator of market performance, showed an increase by the end of the trading day. The index’s rise suggests improved market conditions compared to the previous day’s closing figures. The advancement of 9.83 points highlights a positive shift in the trading environment.
