Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and nine states until 12 midnight tonight.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia identified the states expected to be affected as Kedah (Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu); Penang; and Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, and Manjung).

The same warning also covers Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Kuala Krai); Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, and Hulu Terengganu); and Pahang (Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, and Bentong).

Additionally, parts of Selangor (Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, and Sepang); Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu, Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, and Rembau) are expected to be impacted.

In Sarawak, the warning involves the Betong areas of Pusa and Betong.
