Kuala Lumpur: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has announced that he will embark on a Kembara Diraja (royal tour) across all federal territories. His Majesty expressed that the tour will allow him to observe the people’s lives closely and personally distribute tithe funds to the poor and the eight categories of ‘asnaf’.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the King made this announcement during the investiture ceremony held in conjunction with his birthday at Istana Negara. This initiative reflects His Majesty’s continued dedication to engaging with the public, similar to his earlier efforts with the Kembara Mahkota Johor (KMJ).
Previously, Sultan Ibrahim became well-known for the Kembara Mahkota Johor, a tour initiated in 2001 when he served as the Tunku Mahkota of Johor. The annual program allowed the Johor royal family to connect with the people and provide assistance to those in need.
