Kuala lumpur: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, graced a royal banquet held in conjunction with the 219th Police Day celebration here tonight.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail, in his address, expressed his highest gratitude for His Majesty's consent to attend the event, describing it as the highest honor for all members of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM). He emphasized that PDRM, now reaching 219 years of age, remains steadfast as the core entity in preserving sovereignty, community safety, and national well-being.
"March 25th every year is a historic date to remember the struggles and sacrifices of the force's heroes who fell in the line of duty to defend our motherland. We offer our prayers so that their souls are blessed and placed among the martyrs," he said.
The event was also attended by prominent figures including Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail; Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar; Chief Justice Tun Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh; Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar; Armed Forces Chief Tan Sri Malek Razak Sulaiman; and the top leadership of PDRM.
Mohd Khalid further expressed appreciation to the government, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and sister agencies for their continuous support in empowering PDRM.
