Khai Xing and Aaron Secure Maiden World Tour Title in India

Lucknow: World junior champions Kang Khai Xing and Aaron Tai clinched their maiden World Tour title by defeating Chia Weijie and Lwi Sheng Hao at the Syed Modi India International in Lucknow.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the sixth-seeded Malaysian pair triumphed over their third-seeded compatriots with a score of 21-9, 21-19 in the finals held at the Babu Banarasi Das U.P. Badminton Academy. The victory marks their second title of the season, achieved in just 32 minutes.

This triumph also extends the world number 57 duo’s head-to-head lead against the world number 45 pair in the Super 300 tournament. Khai Xing and Aaron had earlier overcome Weijie and Sheng Hao at the Malaysia Super 100 2025 tournament in Iskandar Puteri last month with a scoreline of 21-18, 21-7.

Khai Xing and Aaron secured a winner’s prize of USD18,760, approximately RM 78,352, while the runners-up, Weijie and Sheng Hao, received USD 9,120, approximately RM 37,688.
