KETENGAH Key Driver Of Sustainable Regional Development – Ahmad Zahid

Kuala lumpur: The Central Terengganu Development Authority (KETENGAH) has strong potential to continue advancing as a key driver of sustainable regional development, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. He noted that since its incorporation in 1973, KETENGAH has played a significant role in improving the socio-economic development of rural communities in Terengganu.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid emphasized that many changes have been undertaken by KETENGAH, with outcomes that remain evident to the people to this day. In a Facebook post marking the agency's 53rd anniversary, Ahmad Zahid, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister, highlighted the potential of KETENGAH to further strengthen the eco-tourism sector, leveraging its natural attractions and unique local heritage.

He mentioned that with structured planning and consistent implementation, KETENGAH can help create more economic opportunities for the local community. Ahmad Zahid expressed his hopes for KETENGAH to continue achieving greater success in the future for the well-being of the people and regional development.

Incorporated on April 12, 1973, KETENGAH is an agency under the Rural and Regional Development Ministry. It is tasked with implementing economic and social development within a 653,075-hectare area covering the interior regions of Dungun, Kemaman, and Hulu Terengganu.
