Chenor: The Kertau-Kuala Wau road in Chenor, near Maran, has been temporarily closed to heavy vehicles following a sinkhole incident at Kampung Peijing, Chenor. The closure was initiated after a road damage was reported, which spans approximately 30 meters.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Maran District Police Headquarters stated in a Facebook post that the incident resulted from soil settlement and movement at the base culvert section. The Public Works Department (JKR) is actively engaged in repair works at the site to ensure road safety.

Currently, a one-way lane remains open for light vehicles, but heavy vehicles are not allowed to pass through the area until the repair works are completed. Road users are advised to remain cautious when navigating the affected zone and consider using the Chenor-Gambang-Chini alternative route if required.
