Kerjaya Prospek Shares Surge Following RM858 Million Data Centre Contract Win

Kuala lumpur: Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd (KPGB) shares experienced a rise in early trading today after the company announced the acquisition of a substantial RM858 million contract. The contract involves mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) fit-out works at a new data centre located in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 10:24 am, KPGB shares increased by four sen, reaching RM3.12, with a total of 467,100 shares being traded. Public Investment Bank Bhd, in a note released today, stated that KPGB's wholly owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd, had accepted a letter of award dated September 1, 2026, from a data centre developer to carry out the MEP fit-out works. The contract is valued at a fixed lump sum of RM858 million.

The project is planned to commence in the third quarter of 2026 and is anticipated to be completed within an eight-month timeframe. This contract award increases KPGB's total contract wins for the year to RM3.2 billion and elevates its outstanding order book to RM5.9 billion, thereby expanding its client base.

Public Investment Bank has projected that the project will contribute approximately RM26.0 million, or 9.6 percent, to KPGB's forecast earnings for the financial years 2026 and 2027. The bank has maintained its 'Outperform' rating on KPGB and has raised its target price for the company from RM3.30 to RM3.90.
