Sungai buloh: The Kembara Revolusi TVET programme goes beyond tours and showcases, reflecting the MADANI Government's commitment to positioning skills development as a key driver of the nation's economic growth, said Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan. He said the programme, involving 120 motorcycle riders representing various agencies under the ministry, aimed to disseminate information and enhance awareness of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) among school students.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the two-day tour, covering six locations in Selangor and Perak, will provide clearer insights into career directions, training programmes, and the advantages of mastering technical skills. Ramanan said the first series of the programme this year involved six schools, including SMK Khir Johari and SMK Seri Manjung in Perak, before extending its outreach to the northern, eastern, and southern zones of the country.

He added that the main strength of TVET lay in its exceptionally high graduate employability rate, which stood at 95.5 per cent. Ramanan said that technical skills had become the "new currency" in today's job market and were in high demand, urging students to make the most of available opportunities to develop expertise in the TVET field.

Today's industry is not just looking for workers, Ramanan noted, but is in great demand for skilled personnel in critical fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, automation, and green technology. He emphasized that TVET is no longer a second option but a primary career path offering a bright future.

Meanwhile, Ramanan announced an allocation of RM200,000 to SMK Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh to upgrade and improve the school hall, supplementing the RM30,000 previously provided for minor repair works. He said that the initiative to enhance educational facilities reflected the MADANI Government's desire to provide students with a supportive learning environment and equip them to participate in the nation's skills revolution.
