Kelantan’s Goal Against JDT Boosts Morale Before Negeri Sembilan Match

Kelantan: Kelantan The Real Warriors' (TRW) success in scoring against Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) was seen as a significant morale booster, even though the team faced a 1-4 defeat in the Super League match at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, TRW assistant head coach Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli highlighted that Muhammad Nor Azam Abdul Azih's goal in the 73rd minute displayed the players' courage and ability to compete against a strong team. This achievement is expected to enhance the team's confidence as they prepare for their upcoming match against Negeri Sembilan on December 24.

Akmal commended the players for their commitment and their ability to perform well, control the game, and create opportunities. Despite only scoring once, he considered it a positive development for the team before facing Negeri Sembilan. He also acknowledged the players' fitness, noting their capacity to maintain a high level of intensity throughout the 95 minutes, even under constant pressure from JDT.

Meanwhile, JDT head coach Xisco Munoz urged his players to maintain focus and avoid mistakes that could lead to goals against them, despite their good form. He emphasized that defensive lapses should not be solely attributed to the goalkeeper, stating that losing possession easily can also lead to such situations. Munoz expressed satisfaction with the team's overall performance and remains confident in their pursuit of a 12th consecutive championship.

JDT currently leads the league table with 36 points from 12 matches, having conceded only five goals this season.
