Kota bharu: Salary arrears involving nearly 20 former players and coaches of Kelantan Darul Naim (KDN) FC have been guaranteed to be resolved within this season. President of Kelantan The Real Warriors (Kelantan TRW), Tan Sri Annuar Musa, stated that the arrears only involved three months, namely February, March, and April of this year.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the club has appealed for space to negotiate with the former players and coaches involved to expedite the settlement of the outstanding salaries. Tan Sri Annuar Musa assured, “Don’t worry, all debts will be paid. We only ask for a chance to negotiate – if there are those who urgently need the money, we will try to accommodate. However, we are offering a win-win situation in which they agree to a reduction in the payment.”
He further mentioned that if the former players and coaches agree to a discount, the club could settle the arrears by August. However, he acknowledged their right to refuse any discounts, in which case the club would still ensure the full amount, approximately RM300,000, is settled within the season.
Earlier in the day, Annuar confirmed his acceptance of the position as president of Kelantan TRW Football Club with immediate effect. This follows a report from Bernama on Sunday stating that the Kelantan TRW management had been given until today to resolve the salary arrears involving nearly 20 players and coaches from last season.
