Kelantan Police Encourage Flood Victims to Use VSP App

Kelantan: Flood victims evacuated to temporary relief centres or those leaving their homes during the flood season have been encouraged to fill out their information on the Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) mobile application. This initiative aims to enable police to conduct patrols in their residential areas, ensuring the safety of their properties.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat emphasized the importance of this measure in preventing potential break-ins. “So far, based on this first wave of floods, we have not received any theft reports, but preventive steps must be taken. This application facilitates the public to make reports without having to be present at the station,” he stated. He urged the public, particularly those impacted by the floods, to download the application and complete the VSP form, allowing police to conduct regular patrols.

Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat further noted that 21 police personnel in the Tumpat district have been affected by the floods and evacuated to relief centres. However, he assured that none of the police stations in the state have been impacted by the floods.
