Kelantan: The Kelantan government has announced that March 19, a Thursday, will be a public holiday for the state in celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud stated that the decision aims to ease preparations for the festive occasion and help alleviate traffic congestion. He expressed hopes that the public holiday will provide a valuable opportunity for residents to spend time with their loved ones. Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud conveyed his best wishes for the celebration, saying, "Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, maaf zahir dan batin."

The date of Hari Raya Aidilfitri is expected to fall on either Friday or Saturday, coinciding with the declared public holiday, allowing the people of Kelantan to better prepare and enjoy the festivities.
