Kota bharu: The Kelantan government has allocated RM12 million for the implementation of the ‘Kelantanku Bersih Campaign’ next year, said Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Mohamed Fadzli Hassan. He stated that the funds would be distributed to all local government authorities (PBTs) in hopes of being utilized effectively through well-planned initiatives to benefit the people.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Mohamed Fadzli emphasized that the Kelantanku Bersih programme is more than just a slogan, but a representation of the new identity of Kelantan. The aim is for Kelantan to progress as a clean state, focusing on administrative integrity, the physical environment, and the spiritual values of its people. He expressed these views while speaking to reporters after officiating the Kelantanku Bersih Day event.
Dr Mohamed Fadzli also reiterated the state government’s commitment to supporting local authorities in development, infrastructure, and cleanliness initiatives. He noted that PBTs are the frontliners and play a crucial role in these efforts. He highlighted the need for cleanliness efforts to extend beyond discussions and translate into actions on the ground, including in markets, residential areas, parks, villages, and towns.
Additionally, he announced the allocation of the Improvement Service Fund, amounting to RM5.29 million, to all 12 local authorities in the state. This fund aims to assist in the upgrading of public facilities and basic infrastructure. Dr Mohamed Fadzli stressed that these funds must be managed transparently, responsibly, and strategically to ensure the best possible services for the people.
