Alor setar: The Kedah Zakat Board (LZNK) has extended an offer to sponsor the education of Putri Qisya Nur Izzat, the sole survivor of a tragic crash, at Sekolah Zakat Kedah from Form One to Form Five.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Putri Qisya, aged 12, is the only surviving child of Mohamad Azim Izat Ishak and Nurul Hidayah Khadijah Razman Affendi, who, along with their four other children, lost their lives when their vehicle plunged into Sungai Korok in a heartbreaking accident early Saturday morning.

In a gesture of support, LZNK visited the family’s home, providing a cash contribution of RM1,000 and a food essentials kit to help ease the burden on the grieving family. This visit was documented in a post on LZNK’s official Facebook page, underscoring their commitment to assisting those in hardship.

Representatives from the Kedah Zakat and Waqf Management Centre, the Kubang Pasu Zakat Office, and the management of Sekolah Zakat Kedah also attended the visit. LZNK highlighted that this initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to ensure the education of children from asnaf families, aiming to secure their future.
