KBS Needs To Review Skill Courses, Training In Line With Needs Of Industry – PM Anwar

Putrajaya: The Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) needs to review its skill courses and training to meet the needs of the industry, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He emphasized the importance of efficient management and the creation of a dynamic and inclusive work culture for youth.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister highlighted these points during a Joint Meeting with the KBS Management Leadership. He discussed key issues related to improving policies and mechanisms that align with trends in digitalisation, technology, and global economic changes. The discussions took place in a Facebook post today.

Earlier, the Prime Minister participated in the Ihya Ramadan Programme organized by KBS, in collaboration with the Performance Acceleration and Coordination Unit (PACU) of the Prime Minister’s Department and the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) at Menara KBS, Putrajaya. The event was attended by Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh, her deputy Adam Adli Abd Halim, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, and director-general of Public Service Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz, along with nearly 400 KBS staff.

In the post, the Prime Minister expressed his sentiments upon visiting Menara KBS for the first time. He reflected on his past experiences serving as the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports in 1983, recalling the dedication of youth officers in the districts who worked with determination despite challenges and constraints.
