Kuala lumpur: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa emphasized that her statements in the Dewan Rakyat about the Kampung Sungai Baru land acquisition were grounded in official government documents.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Zaliha responded to allegations from former Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who accused her of lying to Parliament, making false accusations, and distorting facts during a recent minister’s briefing session. She described these allegations as serious and unfounded, and defended her integrity and that of Parliament.

Dr Zaliha challenged Annuar Musa to present evidence if he believes she distorted facts. She insisted that the integrity of the Dewan Rakyat should not be compromised with such claims. Her statement reiterated that the current focus of the MADANI Government is to ensure the resettlement plan for Kampung Sungai Baru residents proceeds smoothly, allowing them to return to their community and receive due entitlements.

Previously, Annuar Musa demanded an explanation from Dr Zaliha regarding her parliamentary statement, claiming the Kampung Sungai Baru land acquisition process was expedited and completed within three days in 2021.
