Kai Wun and Wei Chong Aim for Top Ten Return at Denmark Open

Bukit Kiara:National men's doubles player Tee Kai Wun is targeting a return to the world's top 10 rankings with his partner Man Wei Chong as they participate in the Denmark Open, held from October 13 to 18 at Jyske Bank Arena.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the duo currently holds the 12th position in the world rankings, a situation influenced by their absence from several tournament series. Kai Wun expressed hope to break into the top 10 or top eight by season’s end, acknowledging the challenge due to limited remaining tournaments.

In the Denmark Open's first-round draw, Kai Wun and Wei Chong are set to face Denmark's Christian Faust Kjaer and Rasmus Kjaer. Despite the competition's Super 750 level, Kai Wun is focusing on performance rather than pressure, aiming to deliver quality play and progress as far as possible in the tournament.

Kai Wun stated, "I'm not setting high expectations; I just want to focus on my own performance, and if we can go far, that would be even better." His recent participation at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games saw him paired with Aaron Chia, exiting in the Round of 16.
