Kuala lumpur: Its secretary, Sitti Fhaizah Mukthar, said all funds collected are meticulously recorded and utilised solely for designated purposes, including documentation expenses, expert services, logistics and accommodation, as well as meetings and other related operational needs. 'All expenditure is supported by receipts and official documentation, to ensure full accountability,' she said in a statement today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, a brief report on the fund stated that the fundraising exercise, conducted from September 8 to 12, 2025, collected a total of RM255,016.27. Expenditure during the period amounted to RM162,155.87, leaving a remaining balance of RM94,096.97, as of December 18.
Sitti Fhaizah explained that the expenses comprised costs for expert and professional consultations amounting to RM82,747.35, followed by logistics and travel expenses totalling RM40,435.54, and accommodation costs of RM22,119.28.
In addition, expenses for documentation and communication amounted to RM12,497, while meeting and operational requirements totalled RM4,135.70, with administrative charges and related costs recorded at RM221.
Sitti Fhaizah added that the account is overseen by multiple authorised signatories, including representatives from the organisation - namely its treasurer and secretary - as well as a representative of the victim's family, the mother of the late Zara Qairina, Noraidah Lamat, and appointed legal representatives, Shahlan Jufri and Mohd Syarulnizam Mohd Salleh.
She also expressed her appreciation to the community for its support and hoped that the collective efforts would bring tangible benefits to Zara Qairina's family and contribute to the smooth conduct of the ongoing inquest proceedings.
