Penang:The JustGO digital toll payment system is now operational at the Penang Bridge, offering users a more convenient and flexible payment option.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Infrastructure, Transport, and Digital Committee chairman Zairil Khir Johari announced that this implementation places the Penang Bridge among the PLUS-operated highways supporting toll payments through Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology. This marks a step forward in digitalizing the country's transport and toll systems.

With the JustGO system, registered vehicles can pass through toll plazas without selecting a specific payment lane. The ANPR system automatically detects the vehicle's registration number and processes the toll transaction via the payment card linked to the JustGO application.

The LaneFreedom feature allows users to access any toll lane at the Penang Bridge. However, at the Bandar Cassia toll plaza, JustGO is presently available only at RFID lanes identified with a red circle. Additionally, Penang-born residents registered with JustGO can benefit from a 20 percent discount on tolls at the Penang Bridge.
