Batu pahat: The Department of Manpower (JTM) will continue to ensure graduates produced through Advanced Technology Training Centres (ADTECs) nationwide can meet the requirements of the employment sector in various fields. Its director-general, Datuk Rospiagos Taha, highlighted that the training centre’s graduates have high marketability and employability, particularly in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the marketability of ADTEC graduates who have found jobs is at 95 percent, while employability, referring to graduates working in their studied fields, stands at about 80 percent. Rospiagos emphasized JTM’s commitment to maintaining these high percentages, positioning the 33 ADTECs nationwide and two satellite campuses as top choices for students pursuing further education.
He noted ongoing collaborations with industry players to ensure course offerings remain relevant, align with technological trends, and meet job market needs. These remarks were made during a press conference at the MyFutureJobs X ADTEC JTM Batu Pahat Campus Career and TVET Education Carnival, also attended by ADTEC JTM Batu Pahat Campus director Dr. Muhammad Yusof and Johor Talent Development Council (JTDC) Strategic Human Capital Unit general manager Herman Raban.
Rospiagos further mentioned that JTM has executed several memorandum of cooperation exchanges, expected to significantly benefit human resource development, technology sharing, student industrial training, and instructor-led training, thereby enhancing national skills. In Johor, he acknowledged the strong cooperation from various parties and substantial support from the state government for human capital development.
He also shared that the Johor government has provided an equipment grant worth RM248,200, aimed at producing highly skilled graduates and workers.
