JPNIN Targets Repairs for Nearly 200 Unity Nurseries Across the Nation

Kuala Lumpur: The Department of National Unity and National Integration (JPNIN) has pinpointed close to 200 Unity Nursery and Daycare Centres nationwide in need of repair and maintenance within this year. Its director-general, Datuk Che Roslan Che Daud, noted that these efforts will be supported by a RM5 million allocation from Budget 2025, specifically designated for addressing issues such as structural damage.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Che Roslan emphasized the varying conditions of these facilities, with some being rented, others self-constructed, and several in good shape. JPNIN plans to conduct on-site inspections to evaluate the condition of the buildings and prioritize repairs. This initiative aims to ensure that Unity Nursery and Daycare Centre students can learn in an environment conducive to their development, as stated by Che Roslan during the Santuni MADANI Programme in Kampung Baru Pasir Pekan.

Che Roslan highlighted that on average, 10 to 15 nurseries or daycare centers in each state are in need of immediate repairs. For instance, in Kelantan, there are 12 unity nurseries that require urgent attention. During the event, Che Roslan also distributed donations to orphans from Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim dan Dhuafa’ Lilbanat Siti Aminah and provided Rahmah baskets to the asnaf group.
