Johor Unveils 14 Special Initiatives For Felda Community

Johor: The Johor government has announced 14 special initiatives for the Felda community in the state, including 10 haj pilgrimage quotas for settlers, as a gesture of appreciation for their contributions. Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi revealed these initiatives during the Johor MADANI Felda Settlers’ Day celebration in Felda Tunggal.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the initiatives encompass food baskets worth RM100 each for settlers with a total allocation of RM2.76 million and education assistance for the children of Felda settlers. Additionally, assistance will be extended to 71 Scheme Development and Security Committees, the Felda Youth Council of Malaysia, the Women’s Association Movement, as well as mosques and surau.

Also present at the event were Pengerang Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said and Felda chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek. Onn Hafiz also addressed the issue of abandoned second-generation housing projects in Felda Bukit Aping Timur and Felda Pasak, expressing a commitment to resolve these long-standing issues within the year through the Felda Muafakat Secretariat.
