Johor bahru: Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi has dismissed rumours that the Johor State Legislative Assembly would be dissolved today. He emphasized that the focus should remain on serving the people and not on potential elections.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Onn Hafiz advised all state assemblymen to continue their duties and prioritize the needs of the citizens. He stated, "I would like to announce that the Johor State Legislative Assembly will not be dissolved today, so everyone can relax. I advise Honourable Members not to worry about the state election."

During the winding-up session of the Johor state assembly sitting at Bangunan Sultan Ismail, Onn Hafiz highlighted the importance of ongoing programmes and initiatives. He urged the assembly members to focus on these tasks rather than on election speculations.

Onn Hafiz addressed the need to clarify the situation amidst widespread speculation about a possible state election. He noted the rising political temperature and mentioned, "I noticed some differences during this assembly debate session, perhaps because the political temperature is rising."

The talk of the Johor state assembly's dissolution has been fueled by statements from various politicians and parties in the state identifying their target seats, adding to the speculation about impending elections.
