Johor Government Allocates RM7.3 Million for Development Projects in Tangkak

Johor bahru: A total of 56 development and upgrading projects in the Tangkak district have been approved for this year, involving a total allocation of RM7.3 million and the participation of various agencies, including local authorities, technical departments, and state agencies. Johor Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor announced the projects, highlighting the significant investment in the region.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, of the total approved projects, 33 were agency approvals amounting to RM4.83 million. Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor, who chaired the Tangkak District State Legislative Assembly Action Meeting (MTD), further disclosed the approval of 25 priority projects. These projects, estimated at RM2.5 million, will be funded through allocations from the Johor Menteri Besar, Johor State ICU (Implementation Coordination Unit), and the Tangkak MTD.

The focus of these projects is on addressing critical needs such as infrastructure repair, public facilities, houses of worship, and road safety, with an emphasis on disaster issues, security, and social development. The aim is to ensure that the impact of these developments is directly felt by the public.

Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor chaired the meeting as the official representative of Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi. In a related update, he noted that a total of 403 issues have been recorded involving the Tangkak, Serom, Gambir, and Bukit Kepong state constituencies. Out of these, 67 issues have been resolved, while another 26 are in the process of implementation, involving an allocation of about RM3.37 million.

Furthermore, he mentioned that 84 issues are still under investigation, and 163 new applications are being reviewed, with an estimated cost of over RM18.1 million, indicating the increasing demands and needs of the local population.
