Johor: Johor DAP is providing its delegates with the autonomy to decide at this Sunday's DAP Conference whether the party should continue its participation in the Unity Government or opt out.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Johor DAP chairman Teo Nie Ching stated that the party would respect and follow the decision made by delegates through a vote at the conference. She emphasized that no stance has been taken at the state level as it involves a democratic voting process. Delegates have been given the freedom to make their own decision at the upcoming conference.

Teo further mentioned that a dialogue session was held with the secretary-general, Anthony Loke, to clarify the motion. She assured that Johor DAP would adhere to the decision that is reached on Sunday. Teo shared these remarks following a ceremony for the 2026 MADANI Adopted School Programme allocations at Sekolah Kebangsaan Murni Jaya in Kampung Murni Jaya, Layang-Layang.

The Deputy Communications Minister expressed confidence that the delegates would arrive at a decision that best serves the interests of the party and the nation.
