Johor BN Takes Charge to Bolster Party’s Campaign in Sabah State Election

Kota kinabalu: The Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) is stepping up to play a pivotal role in the 17th Sabah State Election, demonstrating a spirit of unity and collaboration in its campaign efforts on the ground. Its chairman, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, emphasized the state’s commitment to coordinating the campaign across eight state seats within the Tuaran and Kota Belud parliamentary constituencies.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Onn Hafiz expressed confidence in the candidates nominated by the Barisan Nasional leadership, noting that they are well-received by the public, an essential element for achieving victory. He highlighted the importance of the party’s machinery, particularly in Kota Belud, where enthusiasm is notably high, and expressed belief in the team’s capability to engage effectively with the electorate until polling day on the 29th.

He further elaborated on the significant responsibility made more manageable through the unity and cooperation among all parties involved, aiming to secure victories for BN candidates. Onn Hafiz outlined BN’s primary strategy as focusing on engaging with voters and articulating the party’s commitment to development and the welfare of Sabahans.

Despite challenges such as the short campaign period and the vastness of the constituencies, Onn Hafiz remained optimistic that the candidates’ experience and the party’s robust machinery would ensure effective voter outreach. The constituencies of Kota Belud and Tuaran each encompass four state seats: Pintasan, Tempasuk, Usukan, and Kadamaian in Kota Belud; and Kiulu, Tamparuli, Pantai Dalit, and Sulaman in Tuaran.

The Election Commission has designated November 29 as the polling day for the state election, with early voting scheduled for November 25.
