Kuala lumpur: The Land Administration Clinic programme, organised in conjunction with the 10th National Land Day (HTN) 2026 Celebration at KL Sentral here, received an overwhelming response, attracting around 1,000 visitors, the Department of the Director-General of Lands and Mines (JKPTG) said.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, JKPTG director-general Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim stated that the face-to-face consultation programme provided an opportunity for the public to receive direct advisory services from relevant officers and agencies on land administration matters. These included issues related to land titles, transfers, land boundaries, small estates, and other areas requiring clarification.
Mohd Fauzi emphasized that JKPTG's proactive approach through the concept of 'seeking out the client' proved effective in delivering accurate information from official sources and facilitating public dealings at a strategically accessible location. The attendance of visitors from outside Kuala Lumpur highlighted the significant public demand for a direct consultation platform for discussing land-related issues.
He mentioned that the public valued the opportunity to meet knowledgeable officers in person and receive guidance tailored to their specific situations. In addition to praising the programme's organisation, several visitors suggested the expansion of land administration consultation services through an online portal accessible at all times, allowing public enquiries and initial guidance without waiting for HTN or other special programmes.
Mohd Fauzi noted that this suggestion aligns with the government's efforts to enhance digital public services, making them faster and more user-friendly. Visitors also proposed expanding the programme into a nationwide roadshow to benefit rural communities facing challenges in attending events held in the capital.
The positive feedback underscored the significant impact of direct engagement programmes on improving public understanding of land matters and reducing misinformation risks.
