JKOM Expands Programmes To Focus On Information Dissemination

Kuala lumpur: The Community Communication Department (JKOM) is expanding its programmes to target specific groups and communities, its deputy director-general (management) Kafrawi Ridzuan Tarmizi said. The programmes, which are being rolled out in various states, will focus on disseminating government policies and strengthening the core values in the Malaysia MADANI framework.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kafrawi highlighted that JKOM has received significant positive feedback on the programmes, particularly in terms of introducing and instilling an understanding of the MADANI framework, which has been well embraced by communities. He made these comments during the 2025 MADANI Unity Programme for the Kepala Batas parliamentary constituency.

Kafrawi emphasized that the primary goal of the programmes is to eliminate misunderstandings about the MADANI concept, which has often been misinterpreted as a political agenda. He clarified that the MADANI concept promotes universal values that are suitable for incorporation into the daily lives of Malaysia’s diverse population.

The programmes are also designed to target specific groups, such as students, who are regarded as vital national assets and future leaders. Kafrawi noted that focusing on the younger generation, especially students, is crucial for planting the seeds of MADANI values in the next generation.
