Jitra: The Jitra Half Marathon (JHM), organised by Bina Darulaman Berhad (BDB), will return on September 19, targeting a record 2,200 participants. BDB Group chief executive officer Che Abdul Khalid Md Din announced that JHM 2026 will make its comeback to the calendar of events of BDB Leisure Sdn Bhd after its last occurrence in 2023.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, JHM 2026 will take place at Darulaman Park, Jitra, with the goal of attracting 2,200 participants, including both local and international runners. Competitors will have the opportunity to participate in three main categories: 21 kilometres (km), 10 km, and 5 km.
Che Abdul Khalid Md Din highlighted that the upcoming JHM 2026 aims to return with style and confidence, offering prizes such as cash rewards and various lucky draw items for participants. The organisers hope to attract public interest not only from Kedah but also from across the country and abroad.
JHM was first organised in 2022, drawing 1,200 participants, and saw an increase to 1,500 participants the following year. The public is encouraged to take advantage of the early bird registration offer, which is open until May 31. The fees are set at RM80 for the 21 km category, RM65 for the 10 km category, and RM50 for the 5 km Fun Run.
For those registering from June 1 to July 31, the participation fees will be RM95 for the 21 km category, RM85 for the 10 km category, and RM65 for the 5 km category.
