Jerantut: The Jerantut Square integrated development project is expected to be completed next year and bring significant benefits to the people of Pahang, especially in Jerantut, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail. He announced that the RM130 million project aims to generate approximately 1,000 direct and 5,000 indirect job opportunities.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the development will include office spaces and convenience stores, with businesses already expressing interest in operating within the new facilities. This was revealed by Wan Rosdy after he officiated the Pahang State Development Corporation’s (PKNP) 60th anniversary celebration at the Pahang Rest House @ Jerantut.
Wan Rosdy further highlighted that the project will significantly boost the economy of West Pahang, with a focus on encouraging entrepreneurs to establish businesses in the area. He stated that investors would be welcomed with fast-track access to necessary facilities and approvals, aiming to attract more business activities to the region.
During the same event, Wan Rosdy also launched the upgraded Pahang Rest House @ Jerantut. The facility now offers tourist-friendly accommodations with well-appointed rooms and a fully equipped event hall, which he encouraged visitors to Taman Negara to consider for their stay.
