Kuala lumpur: The Armed Forces Fund Board’s (LTAT) Jelajah Wira LTAT 2025 tour is identified as a crucial platform for engaging contributors, understanding their needs, and reinforcing a relationship of mutual trust and shared responsibility. Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin emphasized the role of LTAT in managing the retirement funds of Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) personnel, focusing on securing their financial futures and enhancing their well-being.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, several initiatives have been launched in line with these objectives. These include the MADANI Adopted School initiative, AFFIN PERKASA Financial Solution, and Royale Warisan Programme, all offering benefits to MAF personnel and their families. The minister shared these insights in a Facebook post following the launch of Jelajah Wira LTAT 2025: Northern Edition at Kem Lapangan Terbang.
During the event, Mohamed Khaled also discussed the newly tabled MADANI Budget 2026, showcasing the government’s commitment to defence with a notable RM21.7 billion allocation. This budget includes RM6 billion for the acquisition of new assets and RM844 million earmarked for personnel housing.
“This initiative reflects the government’s determination to build a modern, high-capacity Future Force, ready to face multi-dimensional threats, while recognising defence personnel as the backbone of the nation’s peace and prosperity,” Mohamed Khaled stated.
In his visit to Kem Lapangan Terbang, Mohamed Khaled observed the implementation of Pharmaniaga’s MADANI Adopted School programme at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kem Lapangan Terbang. The programme, initiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, aims to improve educational quality and school welfare, including for schools within military camps, through collaborations with government-linked companies, agencies, and the private sector.
Projects under the programme include the Skylert Studio (Digital Green Studio) and a Remote Control Jet project, which aim to develop digital, creative, and practical STEM skills. Valued at approximately RM50,000, these initiatives reflect the MADANI Government’s commitment to fostering education opportunities aligned with 21st-century skills, nurturing an innovative and competitive younger generation capable of shaping the nation’s future.
