Sabah: Sabah FC announced the appointment of Jean-Paul de Marigny as the head coach of The Rhinos for the 2025/2026 Malaysia League season effective today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sabah FC, in a statement, said that Jean-Paul, who hails from Australia, brings extensive experience from his time in the Australian League. He has been associated with teams like Western Sydney Wanderers, Newcastle Jets, and Melbourne Victory, where he contributed to their triumphs as League Champions in the 2014/15 and 2017/18 seasons.
Jean-Paul has also played a role in nurturing young talent through his involvement with various age groups of Australian national teams. Most recently, he served as an assistant coach to Brad Maloney for the Australian Under-17 National Team, further showcasing his commitment to developing future football stars.
Sabah FC ended the 2024/2025 Super League season in third place, amassing a total of 40 points under the guidance of Martin Stano from Slovakia, who served as the head coach during that period. The club is hopeful that Jean-Paul’s experience and leadership will bring further success in the upcoming season.
