Kota kinabalu: Super League defending champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) extended their winning streak to 17 matches after routing Sabah 6-1 at Likas Stadium, Kota Kinabalu tonight.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, JDT's first goal came from a penalty by Brazilian striker Bergson Da Silva in the seventh minute after Sabah's Dane Ingham committed a foul in the fifth minute. Ajdin Mujagic increased the lead, scoring the team's second in the 20th minute.
Oscar Aribas added another goal just four minutes later, and Ajdin Mujagic found the net again in the 38th minute, wrapping up the first half with a 4-0 lead for JDT.
JDT continued their commanding performance in the second half, with goals from Manuel Hidalgo in the 46th minute and a second goal from Oscar Aribas in the 48th minute. Sabah managed a consolation goal from Chris Marlon Ondong-Mba in the 87th minute.
Meanwhile, in other Super League matches, Selangor FC secured a 1-0 victory over Kuching City FC at Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium, with Chrigor Moraes scoring in the 86th minute. Kuala Lumpur City FC achieved a 4-0 win against DPMM at Kuala Lumpur City Stadium, with goals by Muhammad Safawi Rasid in the ninth and 18th minutes, Paulo Josue in the 61st minute, and Victor Ruiz in the 70th minute.
