Sepang: Malaysian motorsport star Jazeman Jaafar is set to make his debut in the SUPER GT series at the Sepang International Circuit from June 26-28. Jazeman announced that he will be partnering with rising Chinese driver Kerong Li under the Earl Bamber Motorsport (EBM) banner.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the duo will pilot the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 EVO, marking a significant entry for EBM in the GT300 class. Jazeman highlighted the challenge of understanding the tyres due to open tyre regulations in SUPER GT, and expressed confidence in having Michelin onboard to provide a strong package.

Jazeman noted that while he has driven the Aston Martin Vantage before, he has not yet experienced the updated EVO kit. He mentioned significant improvements in the aerodynamics and expressed readiness to take on the challenge at the home race, proudly representing Malaysia.

Jazeman is recognized as one of Malaysia’s most accomplished international racers, with experience in the FIA World Endurance Championship, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the GT World Challenge. He has also served as a Development Driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team.

SUPER GT is returning to Malaysia after a 12-year absence, and the race weekend is anticipated to attract 162 million broadcast and online viewers worldwide.
