Kota bharu: The Kelantan Information Department (JAPEN) is intensifying its efforts to publicize the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) Appreciation Aid to enhance public understanding of the initiative. Director Muhd Aswadi Mohd Nor has emphasized the need for this campaign, citing a lack of awareness regarding the redemption process and eligibility criteria among the public.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhd Aswadi Mohd Nor highlighted that field observations have revealed significant enthusiasm for the aid. This heightened interest has resulted in the need to upgrade redemption systems at select supermarkets and grocery stores due to the high demand. JAPEN Kelantan, in collaboration with other government agencies, is committed to disseminating accurate information through various channels, including social media, face-to-face announcements, and mobile units known as Input On Wheels.
The director mentioned that the publicity efforts will continue throughout the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, supported by 135 programs organized by JAPEN Kelantan, to ensure comprehensive public awareness. The SARA Appreciation Aid, a one-time contribution credited via MyKad starting August 31, is set to benefit 22 million Malaysians, backed by a RM2 billion allocation.
The aid is accessible to all citizens aged 18 and above, regardless of their income bracket-B40, M40, or T20. It facilitates cashless redemption at designated grocery stores and supermarkets.
