Kuala lumpur: JandT Express Malaysia partnered with IJM Rimbayu in organising the 'Run with Me 2026' event on Saturday, which saw 5,000 participants running together to promote health and celebrate fitness at The Arc, Rimbayu.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, JandT Express Malaysia, in a statement, said the event featured a symbolic last-mile delivery challenge, in which participants carried JandT parcels while running to the finish line. This activity was designed to reflect the effort and dedication of delivery riders and highlight the satisfaction behind each successful parcel delivery.
JandT Express Malaysia Public Affairs and Branding Manager Steve Yap stated that the initiative aimed to help the public better understand the logistics journey behind each delivery. He explained that logistics is an integral part of everyday life, yet many only see it at the point of delivery. Through this fun run, the community was invited to experience the dedication involved in every parcel delivery, while also getting a glimpse of JandT Express Malaysia's future technology-driven sorting centre.
After returning the parcels, participants were invited to engage in various booth activities, which included an exclusive lucky draw session featuring prizes worth a total of RM60,000. Yap expressed hope that this initiative would foster community interaction and demonstrate how innovation in logistics can bring people closer together.
The statement further highlighted that JandT Express Malaysia's participation in the IJM Rimbayu 'Run With Me 2026' showcases how the brand is moving beyond deliveries to creating meaningful connections and powering the future of logistics in Malaysia.
Additionally, the event spotlighted Malaysia's largest self-built parcel sorting centre, JandT EXPRESS @ THE HUB, which is scheduled for completion in Q3 2027, located near the event site. Developed on a fully owned 30-acre site with over RM300 million in investment, the facility will officially break ground on April 15, 2026. This marks a key milestone in JandT Express Malaysia's infrastructure expansion and local workforce development, with the facility expected to create more than 2,000 job opportunities.
Strategically designed to respond to the projected growth of the courier industry, the sorting centre will strengthen processing capabilities and improve operational efficiency. This will ensure smoother, more reliable delivery experiences for customers, online sellers, and local businesses, according to the statement.
