Accra:Part of the route along Jalan Magazine will be closed periodically for 131 days starting tomorrow to facilitate construction work on the Mutiara Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) announced that the long-term closure will commence at 10 am tomorrow and continue until 5 am on February 21, 2027.
The closure will affect the slip road from Lebuh McNair near 1st Avenue Mall towards Jalan Magazine, extending to the front of Hotel Jen and heading towards Komtar. Despite this closure, other routes will remain open.
MRT Corp explained that this measure is necessary to accommodate construction work under Package CMC1, which includes road widening and utility relocation efforts. Motorists are advised to exercise caution in the area, where signboards, traffic cones, and flagmen will be present to manage traffic and ensure safety.
